Located on the slopes of the Sierra de Merendon mountain range, the Nuevos Horizontes business center is one of the most expensive properties built in Honduras in recent years. The Russian SP Glass holding participated in its glazing, delivering 15,000 sq. m of Pilkington Suncool® architectural glass from the Moscow region to San Pedro Sulu.

The 24-story Nuevos Horizontes business center is being built in the prestigious Rancho El Coco district in Northwestern San Pedro Sula. According to the La Prensa newspaper, published in Honduras since 1964, the customer and investor of the project, the Inversiones Nuevos Horizontes company (in the market since 2004) – invested more than 19 million US dollars in the construction of the building.
Fueled by the idea that a person spends no less time at work than at home, the investor decided to make Nuevos Horizons modern and comfortable at the same time. The building is designed for 1,300 jobs. In addition to office space ranging from 35 to 900 square meters, conference rooms, employee training centers, recreation areas, including a spa, cafes and restaurants, coworking spaces, a 24-hour mail reception, and a fitness and yoga room are planned. 8 Parking levels provide 600 Parking spaces. An overall building area of 70 000 square meters.
The project was developed by the famous Spanish Bureau Berga & González, founded in 2001 in Barcelona by architects Alberto Berga and Javier gonzález. The Grupo Alucom facade company from San Pedro Sula was responsible for glazing the property. The supplier of architectural glass for Nuevos Horizons was the Russian SP Glass holding.

The facility uses Pilkington Suncool® 40/22 Pro T magnetron nanocoated glass produced at the Pilkington glass plant in the Moscow region, an enterprise included in the SP Glass group. The product choice is determined by the climatic features of the business center construction site.
"In the equatorial zones, effective protection from the sun's heat is needed and control the illumination," comments Oleg Maksyuta, director of technical regulation and customer support at Pilkington glass. "The Pilkington Suncool 40/22® Pro T product allows only 22% of the sun's heat through and has a shading coefficient of 0.26. This allows you to significantly reduce the load on air conditioning. The light transmission of the product is equal to 40% balanced for a region with a tropical climate. The interior is well lit, there is no excessive glare from interior items."
The total glazing area of Nuevos Horizontes was about 15,000 sq m. The glazing works were completed in August 2018.
