In April 2019 the Pilkington glass company has successfully passed the recertification audit conducted by SGS ISO 9001:2015. These standards are based on a number of management principles, such as customer focus, motivation and involvement of senior management, process approach and continuous improvement.
"For over a decade, Pilkington has been applying international management standards to ensure consistently high product quality" said Yana Yampolskaya, head of management systems certification at JSC SGS Vostok limited (SGS Group). "This aspiration has become a system-forming component of the corporate culture. The SGS auditors noted the involvement of employees in solving quality assurance tasks for processes, products, and services."

For the first time, the company was certified for compliance with ISO 9001 in 2008, and in 2016 it switched to the ISO 9001:2015 version. Even with an established management system that covers the production and sale of construction glass, Pilkington glass continues to improve.

The SGS certificate of conformity for Pilkington glass LLC was issued under Swiss SAS accreditation and is dated may 29, 2019. During the next three years, during which the certificate is valid, the company will undergo annual inspection audits from the certification body. "Thanks to the expertise and experience of SGS auditors, the certification audit helps to unlock the company's potential and find the best ways to further improve," comments Yaroslav Kondratyev, chief operating officer of Pilkington glass LLC.
